Our client chose the Covered Courtyard at the Wallace Collection for their event, a bespoke dinner for just 40 key international marketing and PR executives. It’s a huge space, so how best to make it work for such a small number of guests, while also making sure they networked and bonded?
Our solution was to create a room within a room by erecting a decorative Raj-tent, under which a long table was dressed along its entire length with flowers, storm lamps, Indian lanterns and tealights. A sumptuous banquet of delicately spiced Indian food was served.
We lined the entrance to the space with tall silver lanterns, and as people arrived they were wowed by the scene before them. In corners of the room, we created soft seating areas where people could have drinks or coffee and chat in smaller groups. Sitar musicians played gently in the background, adding subtly to the magical atmosphere that prevailed.
